Canada's Largest Women's Organization Selects Blackbaud's Fundraising Solution to Drive Growth and Connect Remote Offices; Web-Based Access Will Save Thousands in Shipping Costs and Hundreds of Hours of Staff Time

CHARLESTON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 8, 2006--Blackbaud, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB) today announced that Canadian Hadassah WIZO (CHW) will rely on The Raiser's Edge(R), the company's fundraising solution, to efficiently manage constituent data and to reach its development goals.

"We selected Blackbaud as our technology provider because they offer the best products on the market," said CHW National Executive Vice-President Dr. Freda Ginsberg. "After researching many other vendors, we found that The Raiser's Edge is the only solution that will fit our organization's current needs and support our future growth."

Founded in 1917, CHW is a non-political women's volunteer organization. It is dedicated to the support of education, career training, women and youth services, and healthcare in Israel and Canada (including Jerusalem's Hadassah Hospital, where former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was treated earlier this year.) CHW is a broad-based organization, with a membership of more than 16,000 people located in 34 Canadian cities and communities from coast to coast.

The organization required a user-friendly solution that could be accessed by its nine offices across Canada and internationally in Israel. Staff members also wanted to easily update information on over 30,000 constituents, track activity on more than 25 projects worldwide, and quickly provide a variety of reports. To address these needs and to automate processes and centralize its fundraising and membership efforts, CHW will use The Raiser's Edge.

"We are pleased to work with Canadian Hadassah WIZO in helping continue its important tradition of philanthropy within the Jewish community," said Blackbaud's Chief Executive Officer Marc Chardon. "As the demand for services of this organization continues to grow, its technology investment will support its continued progress and ability to serve its mission."

A customized solution

The Raiser's Edge will serve the organization's unique operational needs and goals of developing key areas within its fundraising program. The robust solution will include:

-- RE:Anywhere for Web-based access to The Raiser's Edge - allowing CHW to save money on shipping costs and time spent on duplicate data entry

-- RE:Search for prospect research management

-- RE:Tribute for honor/memorial tracking, and additional modules including RE:PlannedGiftTracker, RE:Event, RE:Volunteer, and RE:Member

"The breadth of the solution was a key factor in our selection of The Raiser's Edge," said Dr. Ginsberg. "We liked the fact that we were able to choose modules that will help us be more efficient in specific areas within our organization and provide better service to our donors."
