Why celebrate entrepreneurial success? Join us on October 26th to learn why.
A few years ago, the National Commission on Entrepreneurship convened a series of focus groups across the nation to explore the question: what makes a community entrepreneurial? Why, they asked, do communities like Austin, Texas and Seattle, Washington and others, large and small, generate so many exciting new business opportunities?
In addition to the things we all know about – research universities, infrastructure, funding sources – they found that the relationships and networks among entrepreneurs mattered a lot. A lot. Events that celebrate the successes of regional entrepreneurs, networking opportunities, informal discussion groups – - all work to build confidence and a creative mindset. And, they can help plant the seed of a new business idea or help make an important new business contact.
For the last three years, the Spiro Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership at Clemson University has hosted an event that spotlights extraordinary entrepreneurial success in the region – and it is completely free to the public. We invite 3-4 winners of the Ernst & Young Carolinas Region Entrepreneur of the Year® awards to join a panel – to tell their stories and take your questions. We bring lots of students to Greenville for this important event, but we also hope to see many of you there listening to the stories, meeting new people, and sharing in our hospitality.
Please join us on Wednesday, October 26th, at 5:30 at the Palmetto Expo Center for the 3rd annual Ernst & Young 2005 Carolinas Region Entrepreneur of the Year® Master Panel. To plan for refreshments and seating, we request that you register at http://www.clemson.edu/spiro -- then select E&Y Master Panel on the right border.
Thank you – and see you on the 26th.
