Columbia ITC Announces Technology Award Sponsorships

COLUMBIA, S.C. – November 27, 2001 – The Columbia Information Technology
Council (ITC) today announced sponsorship opportunities for the inaugural
Columbia ITC Palmetto Pillar Awards.

The awards, which will spotlight technology innovators throughout the Midlands,
will be presented at a gala on February 7, 2002. ''We are confident that
organizations in a variety of industry sectors are eager to demonstrate support
for an initiative like the Columbia ITC Palmetto Pillar Awards,'' says Cheryl
Seminara, chairman of the Columbia ITC. ''Sponsorship is a perfect way to
recognize current and future business leaders and to help build interest in the
Midlands among companies that provide knowledge-based products and services.''

Sponsorships are in four categories, including the opportunity to sponsor
tables, one of the six Columbia ITC Palmetto Pillar Awards, and sponsorship of
the February event itself. ''We're very pleased to be able to offer would-be
sponsors the opportunity to demonstrate their support of technology efforts in
the Midlands in a way that can have a concrete and positive economic impact in
the Midlands,'' says Seminara.

Sponsorships are available immediately. Additional information about the
Columbia ITC Palmetto Pillar Awards and details about the sponsorship
opportunities are available at www.itc.columbiachamber.com/awards.htm.
