Exporters Can Boost Sales Agreement Savvy with Seminar
Columbia, SC—The official rules for the worldwide interpretation of
International Commerce Terms, or ''Incoterms,'' are the authoritative text for
determining how costs and risks are allocated in an international transaction.
Incoterms define the responsibilities of buyer and seller for delivery of goods
under sales contracts and are regularly incorporated into sales contracts
worldwide. An exporter must know these terms before preparing a quotation or a
pro forma invoice. Confusion over Incoterms can result in lost revenue.
A seminar being held from 9:00 a.m.-noon May 26, 2005 at the S.C. Department of
Commerce's 15th floor presentation center will give both new and veteran
exporters a deeper knowledge of Incoterms, pro-forma invoices and other
freight, insurance and shipping issues.
Kathy Edwards of Global Business Solutions in Winston-Salem, NC, will teach the
seminar and make the topics simple and easy to understand with her unique
teaching method.

Seminar sponsors include the S.C. Department of Commerce, the S.C. Chamber of
Commerce, the Midlands International Trade Association (MITA) and the U.S.
Commercial Service.

To register, go to www.scchamber.net, click on Calendar and look for INCOTERMS
Made Easy. Space is limited and early registration is encouraged. The cost is
$45 for MITA and S.C. Chamber of Commerce members and $55 for non-members.
