Larry Wilson, the founder of Mynd who is now managing partner of Trelys venture
capital fund, is lending his name to another economic endeavor.
Wilson, long known for his efforts to improve the state's education system, has
been named to the board of directors of The South Carolina Council on Economic
Education.
The council works to increase economic literacy among South Carolinians through
a variety of educational programs primarily focused on teachers.
After a number of years of relative dormancy, the council is now trying to
increase its visibility and effort throughout the state.
Wilson has not only joined the group as a director, but also has provided a
long list of other potential donors and corporate givers.
