Local Consulting Firm Writes Successful Grants

Leverage & Development LLC, a local consulting firm, recently assisted two
North Carolina Counties in developing successful grant requests. Union and
Scotland counties have both been awarded grants from the North Carolina Rural
Internet Access Authority (RIAA) to use in the continued implementation of
their initiatives to bring Broadband Internet Access to all citizens and
businesses in the two counties.

Leverage & Development, LLC, worked with the Counties to develop a scope of
work and budget, determine measurements and prepare the grant applications.

The RIAA is the overseeing organization for e-NC, which is a grassroots
initiative to encourage all North Carolina citizens to use technology,
especially the Internet, to improve their quality of life and their economic
prospects.

Leverage & Development, LLC works with government, education and non-profit
entities in grant writing, economic development projects and vendor
negotiation. The firm also develops marketing plans for Woman Owned Business
and Minority Owned Business.
