"This year"s THEA Awards are truly an international affair" said Craig Hanna, of Thinkwell Design & Production and President-Elect of the International Board of the TEA (formerly Themed Entertainment Association) in announcing the prestigious awards for outstanding achievement in the creation of compelling places and experiences. About MagiQuest

MagiQuest is a live-action adventure game that immerses players in a world of fantasy propelled by sophisticated technology. To participate in the game, each player receives a magic wand powered by patented technology that brings MagiQuest's 20,000 square foot enchanted realm to life.

In one respect, MagiQuest parallels the architecture of a video game. Players select from a variety of Quests and Adventures that, once successfully completed, result in an accumulation of special powers. As these powers increase, players proceed to higher levels of the game where the level of difficulty also increases.

But MagiQuest is not confined to a computer screen. It places players inside of a three dimensional, interactive fantasy world where players must follow clues that lead deeper and deeper into a magical realm populated by a dazzling range of characters and creatures.

It fosters a problem-solving, shared discovery process between family members of all ages.

MagiQuest, at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, S.C., is the first and only MagiQuest in the world. MagiQuest is the first entertainment venue of New Kingdoms, LLC, a joint venture of Burroughs & Chapin Company, Inc. of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Creative Kingdoms, LLC of R.I.
