Marketing Guide to Government Bid Preparation Workshop

Janet Christy of Leverage & Development, LLC will be presenting a workshop on
Government Bidding at the Greenville Chamber on August 17. The workshop titled
''Marketing Guide to Government Bid Preparation'' is designed to steer businesses
through the preparation of an effective bid on local, state and federal
government opportunities.
This workshop will be presented from a marketing angle and is designed to aid
businesses that have never bid on government projects and those who have not
had success with government bids. It will include general explanations about
the bidding and procurement process of government and government funded
entities such as school districts and universities, step-by-step guidance
through real-life examples, dos and don'ts of government bidding, and advice
from actual government procurement and purchasing managers. Participants can
bring actual bid opportunities and receive advice.

The workshop will be held on August 17 from 8:30 to 11:30 am at the Chamber.
The charge per person is $40 for Members and $60 for Non-Members. Interested
person can register on the Chamber's website www.greenvillechamber.org or by
calling the Chamber.

Janet Christy, the Workshop Leader, has more than 20 years experience in all
aspects of the government bidding process. She has sold to government, prepared
bid specifications and proposal requests for government, analyzed and evaluated
bids and proposals, and assisted businesses in preparing bids and developing
strategies to sell to government entities. In this workshop she will share
some illustrations and provide sound advice based on her experience.
