Monthly Luncheon Caps 1st Year for Columbia ITC
The Columbia Information Technology Council will hold its monthly noontime
lunch meeting on Tuesday, April 2, at the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
This luncheon will serve several purposes, including a celebration of the
organization's achievements of the past year, the group's annual change of
leadership and details of the ITC's first Midlands technology survey.
ITC members and guests are invited to attend the luncheon; while members eat
free, guests will pay $10 at the door.
"It's been an exciting and gratifying year for the ITC," said Chairman Cheryl
Seminara. "One year ago, we established two specific goals: recognizing leaders
in the Midlands technology community with the Palmetto Pillar Awards and
launching a survey of Midlands technology. Both took a lot of work on the parts
of many persons, and their accomplishments are only the beginning. I know the
group's second year will bring more great achievements."
Seminara will be recognized for her leadership and tireless efforts during the
past year, giving way to the induction of Bob Hudson as incoming chairman.
Certain other ITC committees will be inducting new leaders.
The luncheon will also include a special presentation from Resource and
Planning Committee Chairman Shannon Skidmore, whose group has initiated a
survey of technology in use by business, government and education across the
Columbia Metropolitan Area. Preliminary surveys have been performed, and she
will discuss the group's progress.
To RSVP, please contact Mike Lee of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce,
at (803) 733-1117 or e-mail mlee@gcbn.com.
