Sunstore Solar announces appointment of David Odell as President.
Sunstore Solar of Greer, South Carolina is pleased to announce David Odell as its new President. Previously Mr. Odell was serving as Vice President of Business Development and Sales at Sunstore Solar. With annual revenue projections for 2007 surpassed by the end of July, Sunstore Solar makes this leadership change effective immediately.
The growth pace and market potential of the renewable energy industry is often compared to that of the automobile of the early 1900’s and the Personal Computer of the late 1980’s. Having the proper leadership in place now for Sunstore Solar is critical.
Bruce Wood, founder of Sunstore Solar, will retain his position as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. “To date, David Odell has accomplished every goal set before him, and it is with complete confidence that I hand over the responsibilities of President to him,” said Mr. Wood. “Sunstore Solar has some very aggressive growth targets for the next 12 to 24 months and I know David Odell is committed to continued success for the company’s owners, employees and customers.”
Mr. Odell has been actively involved in furthering renewable energy in South Carolina. His appointment to the South Carolina Governor's Energy Supply Technical Workgroup along with his activity in promoting the industry’s side of Net Metering to the Public Service Commission and the state’s Electric Cooperatives continues to prove positive for solar in South Carolina and Sunstore Solar’s position in the marketplace. South Carolina lags behind many states in incentives and pro-solar regulations but has most recently begun the process of change. State tax credits are now in place and Net Metering regulations are starting to appear.
