Michelin Helps Blogher '08 Become Carbon Neutral And Fuel-Efficient

Michelin has a long history of commitment to the environment and this year, the leading tire maker is sharing its dedication with the attendees of the annual BlogHer conference in San Francisco, Calif. As a premier sponsor of BlogHer '08, Michelin is making a contribution to offset over 200 tons of CO2 produced from travel, accommodations and venue operations for over 1,000 attendees over the three-day event.

The fourth annual BlogHer conference is a gathering of active blogging community members designed to be a fun, informative way to convene and share ideas and opinions.

Michelin has also selected the conference as a platform to preview its newest, most fuel-efficient tire designed for crossover (CUV) and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) - the Michelin® Latitude® Tour tire.

As part of the conference activities, a group of BlogHer '08 attendees will be guided through a series of Michelin-designed driving exercises to experience firsthand the features and benefits of a low-rolling resistance, fuel-efficient tire that does not compromise other performance or safety features.

The new Latitude Tour tire, available Sept. 1, 2008, is the longest-lasting, most fuel-efficient crossover tire in its class*, offering greater confidence in wet conditions and a quiet, comfortable ride, making it a safety-conscious choice for families as well as the environment.
