Nomination Deadline Extended for Columbia ITC Palmetto Pillar Awards
COLUMBIA, S.C.—February 20, 2003— Due to a recent spike in nominations for the
Palmetto Pillar Awards, the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Information Technology
Council (ITC) is pleased to announce that it has extended its awards nomination
deadline to Friday, March 7, 2003. This extension will allow all interested
parties to complete nomination packets in time to be considered in the judging,
which will take place in mid-March.
''We are very pleased with the responsiveness that we have seen for this event,''
says ITC chairman Bob Hudson. ''The number of nominations we are receiving
demonstrates the dedication of Columbia's business community to drive our
region to be a technology leader.''
The ITC Palmetto Pillar Awards spotlight individuals or companies who have
successfully promoted the development of technology in the Midlands community.
Nomination categories include Technology Application, Technology Development,
Technology in Education, Community Service, Small Enterprise and Individual
Achievement.
