NuVox Communications Offers VoIP Service Across South Carolina

NuVox Communications, a leading Integrated Communications Provider (ICP) serving thousands of business customers in South Carolina, today announced the availability of its new Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) product offering across the state. The product, VoxIP, was launched to businesses in the Midlands this week, making VoxIP now available in markets across South Carolina, including Greenville and Charleston.

VoxIP will provide business customers a flexible, high bandwidth data and voice solution, packed with a suite of bundled services over NuVox’s private IP network. “Over 6500 businesses in the Columbia, Greenville, and Charleston areas have already seen the value of NuVox services, and we are excited to expand our communications solutions to include VoxIP,” said J. Pendleton Gaines, Vice President of Marketing for NuVox Communications. “Through an easy-to-use portal, we are providing customers greater bandwidth and exceptional control for handling calls. VoxIP is analogous to having a ‘personal assistant’ on all extensions which routes incoming calls to wherever you are – allowing you to be more mobile and productive.”

Two key advantages of VoxIP are the ability to maximize dedicated Internet service with a minimum of 768 Kbps of bandwidth, even with 24 calls in progress simultaneously per T1 and a robust web portal for real-time changes to service. VoxIP services are delivered via NuVox’s state-of-the-art, fully-redundant private IP network and on-premise integrated access devices. Choosing VoxIP allows the customer to future-proof their network while using the business’ current equipment and providing the foundation to upgrade to more advanced systems later.

In addition to VoxIP, NuVox offers a complete suite of data, voice, networking, and security services across its 16-state footprint.
