GREENVILLE, S.C., May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- NuVox Communications, a leading provider of voice, data, and security services to business customers throughout the Southeast and Midwest, has been recognized by the US General Services Administration (GSA) as a telecommunications provider for federal agencies. The GSA is federal government-regulated agency which functions as a purchasing arm of the US government by offering support to federal agencies in the form of procurement of services and technologies.
In its recent five-year contract estimated at $94 million, NuVox is a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) recognized by the GSA. In several markets, NuVox is the sole source provider for telecom and local access services, specifically Myrtle Beach, SC; Eglin AFB, FL; Ft. Myers, FL; and Tallahassee, FL.
