SC BIO Welcomes New Addition

SC BIO welcomes the addition of Gavin Purtell to the organization as a Market Research Manager. Mr. Purtell is a recent graduate of Queensland University of Technology's LS50 Program. The LS50 Program offers studies in biotechnology and business, making Mr. Purtell a great fit for the SC BIO organization. Mr. Purtell is based at SC BIO headquarters in Greenwood, SC and will work with emerging life science companies providing key market information.
South Carolina and Queensland, Australia initiated a "sister state" relationship in 1999 to encourage cooperation in areas that include education, technology, science, economic development, tourism, culture, health, and sports. South Carolina and Queensland have also formally agreed to explore ways in which they can both benefit from collaborations on biotechnology research, development and commercialization.
