Guess it's true what they say about time flying when you are having fun. The
Talent Portal is filling up with career seekers from Charleston and across the
country, recently relocated professionals are using the "Touchdown Space," the
" Corridor Fund" is being gradually capitalized and Kimberly and I, along with
some energetic civic-minded entrepreneurs, are busy working on new and exciting
initiatives for Charleston's growing knowledge-based community. We draw our
strength from the constructive feedback and support from Charleston's growing
knowledge-based community and for this we are very grateful.
TALENT PORTAL
The Charleston Digital Corridor Talent Portal is fully operational. This online job listing and skills bank repository
supports Charleston's rapidly-growing, knowledge-based work sector. This tool,
developed with Digital Corridor web partner, Sans Locus, is designed for member
companies searching for talent (actively and passively), individuals desiring
tech-related work opportunities in the Charleston region and connecting to the
emerging talent pool through internship opportunities at South Carolina
Universities.

Held between 9 - 10am on the third Friday of every month, ''Friday's @ the
Corridor'' events seek to engage individuals and organizations that are playing
an important role in shaping Charleston's growing knowledge-based economy. The
attendee list changes monthly depending on the topic.

CORRIDOR WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS
The Charleston Digital Corridor is celebrating the addition of six Digital
Corridor companies – BridgeSpan Technologies, Knowledge Continuity Center, NIIT
Technologies, Inc., PTG Technology Systems, Slant Media and WideSpread Access.
These companies represent start-ups, relocating companies, new divisions of
existing companies and the expansion of an International company that is
serving Charleston's existing knowledge-based industry.

BridgeSpan Technologies is a provider of communication systems that include
Cisco voice, data networking and carrier services. Their customer focus
includes Professional Services, Financial, Healthcare, and Light Manufacturing.
Launched in 2004, BridgeSpan Technologies is a subsidiary of a
well-established, successful company with extraordinary business communications

Having recently relocated from Seattle, WA, the Knowledge Continuity Center is
a nationally recognized consulting firm focused on helping organizations

PARTNERS
Recognizing the power of convening and engaging relevant organizations and the
highly motivated individuals within them, the Digital Corridor is pleased to
partner with two organizations that are driving Charleston's innovation economy
- The Association of Technology Professionals (AITP) and The Charleston Defense
Contractors Association (CDCA).

The Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) offers
opportunities for Information Technology leadership and education through
partnerships with industry, government and academia. AITP provides quality IT
related education, information on relevant IT issues and forums for networking
with experienced peers and other IT professionals for nearly 9,000 members.
This past November, the Charleston Digital Corridor and AITP collaborated to
host the First Annual Networking Bash. Held at the Charleston Maritime Center,
this event drew over 150 Entrepreneurs, IT professionals, and other
professionals interested in engaging with Charleston's growing knowledge-based
landscape.

The Charleston Defense Contractors Association (CDCA) consists of approximately
50 regional, national and international organizations whose mission is to
advocate, preserve and protect the real, capital and economic interests of the
companies and clients of the defense industry in the Charleston metropolitan
area and surrounding regions. As a sponsor of the Corridor's Talent Portal, the
CDCA understands and supports the Digital Corridor's effort to accelerate the
development of qualified human capital and connect it with Charleston's growing
high-wage professional and technical opportunities in Charleston.
INTERNSHIPS
With an eye towards developing ''up and coming'' talent for their industry, the
Charleston Defense Contractors Association has created a summer internship
program to place talented students with premier defense related companies in
the Charleston area that service the federal government. If you are interested
or know of talented students who could benefit from this valuable experience,

Talent Portal or contact Michael Resler.

The School of Business and Economics at the College of Charleston has
established an internship program to enhance the academic component by
providing professional work experiences for students. Areas of concentration
include Accounting, Finance, Global Logistics and Transportation, International

InnoVenture's 2005 Conference will be held April 6th, 2005 at the Palmetto Expo
Center in Greenville, SC. This annual venture capital conference provides a
forum for entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and industry experts to support
the growth of high-impact companies in the ӪSoutheastern Innovation Corridor.

Thinktec 2005 Annual Innovation Summit - April 28 & 29, 2005

researchers, economic developers and venture capitalists during this two-day
summit. Along with hands-on product displays, networking events and targeted
breakout sessions, this summit will include information on, but not limited to,
exciting new technologies, nanotechnology, venture capital criteria and future

Palmetto Biotechnology Alliance – The Right Conference - April 17 & 18, 2005

The Palmetto Biotechnology Alliance Conference brings together organizations
