VC3 Announces GovHost Premier Partner Program

Program to Focus on Signing Systems Integration Firms as Resellers

COLUMBIA, S.C., Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- VC3, an e-government solutions
provider since 1998, announced today its new reseller program -- the GovHost
Premier Partner Program. This new program will enable VC3 to expand its reach
nationwide with the GovHost.com product suite, serving small to medium-sized
cities and counties. New Age Technologies, a systems integration firm located
in Louisville, Kentucky, signed on this month as the second participant in the
GovHost Premier Partner Program and will target the mid-Western and mid-
Atlantic regions of the U.S. In April 2000, VC3 signed a reseller agreement
with Berryman & Henigar, a municipal services firm headquartered in San Diego,
CA, that targets portions of the West Coast and FloridaӪ.
"The GovHost Premier Partner Program enables VC3 to expand its reach
beyond the Southeast," said Scott Spears, director of channel marketing and
the GovHost Premier Partner Program for VC3, Inc. "We have found that most
small to medium-sized local governments initially need to update existing IT
infrastructure, before any e-government applications can be implemented. We
are looking for systems integration firms that would like to expand into the
local government sector or those that would like to add the GovHost.com
product suite to their existing core services. By coupling their IT work with
our GovHost.com product suite, we can offer cities comprehensive technology
assessments and affordable e-government solutions."
"New Age Technologies will leverage its existing IT services -- IT
staffing, training, and project management expertise -- with the GovHost.com
product suite to focus solely on local governments in the Midwest," said Chris
Tolley, vice president of ITropolis, a new division of New Age that will focus
on the government marketplace. "There is a significant need within the local
government market space for IT support, updating existing IT infrastructure,
and strategic planning relative to the internet and e-government. ITropolis
plans to address these needs with the support of VC3 and its GovHost.com
solution."
The GovHost product suite includes 14 virtual government modules that are
hosted individually or as a create-your-own-suite for cities and counties.
These modules enable local governments to provide online services to citizens
without the technological burdens of hiring additional IT staff. As an ASP,
GovHost.com enables local governments to outsource their e-government
applications as well as their line-of-business applications like permit and
license management, financial, and accounting applications.
