VC3 Signs Contract with City of Kennesaw, GA, to Begin Implementing
e-Government Solution
COLUMBIA, S.C., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- e-Government solution provider VC3,
Inc. announced today a contract with the City of Kennesaw, GA, to redesign the
city's web site and begin installation of the GovHost.com framework module.
The GovHost.com Framework module is the backbone of all web-based citizen
transactions. This module includes website hosting, online account management,
and online reporting. The City of Kennesaw's web site will be live by the end
of this year. Other e-Government functionalities will be available to
citizens in late 2001.
"Of all the requests for proposals that were submitted to us, VC3 had the
most cost-effective and comprehensive software package," said Diane Coker,
interim city manager. "The majority of our citizens commute to neighboring
areas such as Atlanta to work each day, and many had requested the ability to
pay utility bills online. We knew we would need to upgrade our existing
technology before implementing any e-Government solution."

governments to go online with an interactive web site. The GovHost.com
product suite consists of 13 modules that enable citizens to pay utility bills
and taxes, request city services, view and pay parking tickets, apply for
