VX CPO402P Series Ideal for High Frequency Wireless Applications
High Directivity Coupler Provides Ultra Tight Tolerance in an 0402 Case Size
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AVX Corporation (NYSE: AVX), a leading manufacturer of advanced passive components, has developed an integrated thin film, high directivity coupler that provides a directivity of 20-27 dB and an ultra tight ±0.5dB coupling factor tolerance. Based on the proprietary RFAP thin film technology, the CP0402P series improves PA gain control in high frequency applications such as cellular and WiMax wireless system transmitters.
“AVX is the first to offer this unique level of performance in terms of higher directivity and tighter coupling factor tolerance,” said Larry Eisenberger, AVX Sr. Field Application Engineer. “This new design enables us to provide our customers with a superior performing coupler in a rugged 0402 case size.”
The tight tolerance coupler is offered in a variety of frequency bands and can be utilized for power control of transmitters in cellular, GPS, and wireless communications, which are key features for designers of W-CDMA, WiMAX, and WiBro systems.
Designed for reliable automatic assembly, the CPO402P Series coupler is available in a land grid array (LGA) termination, providing low profile, low parasitics and self- alignment during reflow.
Typical pricing for the AVX CP0402P is $0.19 with a lead time of 10 weeks. For more information on the AVX CP0402P, contact AVX at 801 17th Avenue South, Myrtle Beach, S.C. 29578; by calling 843-448-9411; by fax at 843-444-2864; or on the Web at www.avx.com.
